History

The Gothenburg-based black metal band was founded in 1993. The band was heard on 1993’s demo The Black Winter, which was self-recorded. The 1994 demo was called From A Black Funeral Coffin. Full Moon Productions issued a 7” for the band called Digerdöden in 1995. The band subsequently signed with Napalm Records. The band’s debut album was called Toteslaut. With its follow-up the band established a pattern of singing of the Christian and Satanic bibles.

The band went on hiatus until 2004 when the act issued a demo called Celebration Of The Four. The songs here lasted a minimum of ten minutes. Debemur Morti Productions signed the band and issued a couple of EPs and a full-length. The band threw in the towel in 2016. The members suggested they had grown apart and had musical differences. Naströnd is old Icelandic and Norse for ‘Shore Of Corpses.’ In mythology it is a hall of punishment with walls of snakes. Downfall Records was a label run by drummer Arganas.
