History & Biography
There have been as many Necropolis’ out there as Necrosis, Mortuarys and, of course, Armageddons. This particular one was one of the dozen from USA, suitably had an album called Contemplating Slaughter and was years ahead of most of them.

The band was founded in Georgia in 1986 after Ogre Of Death broke up with David Randolph on drums and issued a self-titled demo in 1987. The band signed with the alternative rock label Bomp! and promptly disbanded. The band had recorded a second album in 1992, but never issued it. Somehow, Thought About Death Lately was released through Huangquan Records in 2021. The label reissued the debut as well.
