History & Biography
What happens when Shiteater and Pigfucker come together? Many would say McDonalds. In this case the year is 2005 and Necrovorous was formed. Archfiend Devilpig (also in Embrace Of Thorns) joined in 2009 as Pigfucker left. This Athens-based death metal band was founded in 2005 and soon issued a song called Necropeophagus. A more proper demo was 2006’s Revenge Of The Booger. Another one called Day Of A Hot Cannibalistic Orgium followed. The band and US-based Meathole Infection had a split vinyl in 2009. Blood Harvest issued the band’s Crypt Of The Unembalmed Cadavers 7” EP. The band signed with Pulverised and its debut, Funeral For The Sane, was out in the summer of 2011 at the same time as Morbus Chron’s Sleepers In The Rift and Iron Lamb’s The Original Sin. It was recorded in 2010 at Feedback Studio. The bandwent back to demo mode until 2017’s Plains Of Decay.
