History & Biography The band came together in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, in 2013. Alekandra and Sanja approached Selena to form a band. Three years were spent playing cover versions. There was a 2018 promo. Serbia-based all-girl band Nemesis issued an album called The War Is On through Grom Records in 2020. The cover was to depict the goddess Nemesis gearing up for war.
The group announced an album called Here To Stay for 2022. Nemesis was booked for the Pannonian Rock Festival in Croatia and had concerts in Serbia. The act played several concerts, including Kaleidoskop Festival and Feelgood Festival, in 2023. The band also ventured into Romania. Biljana Sovilj, who considered herself a guitarist first, left. She lived in Austria now. Serbia-based all-girl band Nemesis had an album called Embrace Reality in January 2024. The original title was Here To Stay, which ended up being a track on the new record. Aleksandra Stamenković of Jenner joined her band-mate as session bassist here. Nemesis booked concerts in Greece and Bulgaria following the release.
The band’s name was inspired by Arch Enemy’s song of the same name. The band shared the name with at least one act in each country recognized by the United Nations.
