History & Biography The band was founded in 1999. A 2003 demo was called Vastlands Of Abomination. The band toured Europe in 2009 and appeared at Wacken Open Air. An EP called Human Chaos followed. Nervecell picked Psychogenocide as the title for its 2011 album, which was due for release in Europe through Lifeforce Records and Spellbind Records for the Middle East late in March 2011. Psychogenocide was scheduled to be mixed and mastered at Hertz Studio in Warsaw Poland by the Wieslawscy Brothers. Drummer Kevin Foley of course was a guest drummer during this period. The Dubai-based band signed with Unique Leader in 2014. The band was previously on Lifeforce. The group reissued its Psychogenocide full-length on its new label in January 2015. The band announced a French weekend tour with Savage Annihilation in 2018. Nervecell drummer Bachir Ramadan was in Beirut, Lebanon at the time of the port explosion of 2020. He suffered a head injury.
Several new members were inducted in 2023. These were singer and bassist Lukas Haidinger, guitarist Mahmud Gecekusu and drummer Bachir Ramadan, Their predecessors had rushed out in 2022. Nervecell was touring Europe in May 2024. This included a stop at the esteemed Shitfest opening for Sanatorium and Spasm.
The band has opened for Deicide, Morbid Angel, Suffocation and even pop bands.
