History & Biography Formed in May of 2011, the American heavy metal band issued a self-titled demo the year after. Two drummers were lost in quick succession. The group opened for Raven and Diamond Head in 2014. High Roller re-issued the band’s demo with bonus tracks in 2014. The band issued an album through Steamhammer, which accompanied a graphic novel called Blood Sacrifice. American band Visigoth was touring the USA in support of Night Demon in the spring of 2016. The band played at Germany’s Bang Your Head!!! Festival in July 2016. Jarvis Leatherby began singing for one of his heroes, NWOBHM's Jaguar in 2016. This gig lasted six years. He would also began playing bass for Cirith Ungol. Carcass was touring including performances at Chicago Open Air Festival as well as Heavy MTL. Crowbar, Ghoul and Night Demon provided support. The Darkness Remains album featured a song called Maiden Hell whose lyrics were a compilation of Iron Maiden song titles.
The band hit Mexico in 2017. Live Darkness was recorded in Ohio, USA in 2017. Year Of The Demon was a compilation full of odds and ends and issued by Century Media in 2022. Night Demon played two shows in Cleveland, Ohio, USA in honour of local DJ Bill Peters in October 2022.
The band announced an upcoming album for the spring of 2023. It was called Outsider and there was a video for the title track. Night Demon was booked at the 2 Minutes To Tulsa show alongside Exciter, Vicious Rumors and others. Dustin Squires left. Blind Guardian announced The God Machine North American 2024 tour for April and May. Night Demon was the opener. Stool-for-hire Brian Wilson (Hellwitch, Midnight Spell, Fathom, Yngwie Malmsteen, Buziraco, Blood Star, etc.) became the drummer. Night Demon was booked for Milwaukee Metal Festival 2024. The band was opening for Cirith Ungol's farewell shows in Australia and China. The band was booked for Metalitalia for September 2024 alongside Xentrix, Overkill, Ural, Cirith Ungol, Satan, Haunt, Hell Fire, Destruction and Angelus Apatrida. King Diamond was to embark on a North American tour in the autumn of 2024. The Saint Lucifer's Hospital 1920 trek was with support by Overkill and Night Demon. Queensrÿche announced it would conduct the European leg of The Origins Tour in February 2025. The Origins Tour Part II featured songs from both the self-titled EP and The Warning album, issued respectively in 1983 and 1984, in their entirety. Night Demon was to open. The band was booked for Wacken 2025.
Leatherby was a roadie for The Fudking Wrath before Night Demon’s formation.
