History & Biography
This keyboard-laden band from Norway was founded in 1994, disbanded in 2001 and returned in 2018 as members made time away from their other projects. Tolpinrud was on keyboards in 1995. The Odium demo from 1995 was a strictly limited affair. The group’s eventual debut album was taped in 1996, but only mixed and issued two years later. Even its cover artwork displayed an Emperor influence. It was issued by Nocturnal Art, which was the label of Samoth of Emperor. Unsurprisingly, the band had a concert with Emperor (and Mactätus) in Oslo, Norway at this time. The band did issue a MP3 called Altering The State Of Being in 2001 and true to its word disappeared. Kjetil Ottersen was on keyboards for 2001. Demariel joined Myrkskog. Other members were in Zyklon with Emperor members. Secthdamon was playing with Emperor. Dominator joined on drums and Destructhor on guitar in 2018. The returning band played at the Inferno Metal Festival. The band was booked at the Steelfest Open Air in Finland for 2019. The band appeared at Inferno Metal Festival in 2023.

Odium means ‘hatred’ in Latin. The group used face paint.
