History & Biography Former Depraved members founded the band as Spasm in 2012 before changing its name in 2013. The group lost a couple of founding members at this juncture. The band toured Russia in late 2016. Sweden-based Of Fire’s Death Do Us All was out April 14th 2017. The band was comprised of five childhood friends, including the Thunell brothers, who were taken under the wings of the producer who recorded their debut demo Carnage Fever at Sunlight Studio for two years. Qalaqas Black Art Productions of Malaysia pressed it on tape. The Sweden-based death metal act issued its full-length entitled Dräparen through Art Gates on May 25th.

Let us get the elephant in the room out of the way. Of Fire's debut album reaches into the Dismember grab bag and borrows liberally. However, there is absolutely no denying the band's talented vigour, power and lust for brutal Swedeath. This is truly a labour of love and one which fans can embrace. Whether it is the wild riffing, the distorted guitar to the point of breaking, the bestial vocals or the warm and heavy drum sound Of Fire's Murderer hits the spot. It is too bad that the band is young and does not know better, and that the metal media is comprised of a bunch of wimpy sycophants, because the phrase 'death 'n' roll' is an insult in and of itself and an offense to the band's powerful music. This is not a speed fest from start to finish, but it is powerful and crushing from start to finish. There is a song on the album called The Filth And The Fury.
