History This Swedish doom band hung around for less than ten years beginning in 2001. Outremer, which featured Sorcery’s Paul Johansson, and Darkness Falls were early demos. Pulverised issued the band’s Turn Into Grey in 2007.

OUTREMER - TURN INTO GREY - PULVERISED
This 30-minute debut full length provides shades of Cathedral, a rough Black Sabbath and just pure simple doom metal. Perhaps surprising is the fact that two members of Outremer were in Sorcery, a death metal band, in the ‘90’s. The vocals of Ola Malmström are hoarse and rough very much befitting the guitar sound and production. Like many other releases Turn Into Grey fails to offers much in the sense of originality, a clear example being Left Unfound which starts off with a clone of Black Sabbath’s War Pigs, however on the whole it is not a poor song for the drugged up or stoner style it delivers. On the more positive side, Twilight Tyrants, for one, includes a dark and evil sounding passage that is well done and as such is probably the better of the five songs here. – Anna Tergel
