History & Biography
Profetus, a funeral doom metal band from Tampere, Finland, was founded by keyboardist Kujansuu and Anssi in 2006. A. Palmu was on drums. The band’s Saturnine demo emerged a year later. A debut album clocked in at 50 minutes despite containing four tracks. No bass guitar was in sight, but the band being Finnish had a piano player. Eppe Kuismin left in 2012, returned in 2014 and departed in 2019.The second album was a concept based on the afterlife. A 2014 EP was called As All Seasons Die and was promoted through a video for The Dire Womb Of Winter. Five years passed before Avantgarde issued The Sadness Of Time Passing. Profetus’ The Sadness Of Time Passing was out through Avantgarde Music on 11.10.2019. The album was a concept regarding the passage of time.
