21 LUCIFERS - IN THE NAME OF... - PULVERISED  
Former members of Without Grief started Gridlock before changing their name to 21 Lucifers and releasing In The Name Of... . This 18-track release runs at around 32 minutes and its length provides a hint or two as to the style on offer. Song titles like Violence, Greed Spreader, Hate Will Prevail and Killing At Will tell more of the same story, one that is grinding, and sometimes thrashy metal. The vocals and music are reminiscent of Mille and Kreator in the thrashy segments. Not always the heaviest or fastest and neither the most effective in its execution or production, but 21 Lucifers nevertheless come close and have provided an intense and heavy album here, one that should appeal to all grind, death and thrash metal fans alike. Listen for the bonus few seconds added at the end where Erik seems to, comically, lose his voice. - Anna Tergel
