Abaddon Incarnate is another former Season of Mist underground act and one, which plays death metal with blast beats. The band was, in fact, formed in 1989 as Bereaved. Cory Sloan joined in July 1999. Mieszko of Nasum produced Nadir. The band signed to Spain's Xtreem Music in 2003. In 2009 the band signed with Metal Age Productions and was at Dublin’s Trackmix Studio to record a new album. The group now featured bassist Steve Finnerty and drummer Johnny King.
In 2014, Candlelight Records signed Irish band Abaddon Incarnate. The band's fifth album, Pessimist, would be released sometime in 2014. A 2017 demo was called Live Pessimism and was recorded at Monsters Of Rot Festival 2015. Irene Siragusa became the bassist in 2015. Wayne Glass joined on vocals in 2016. Live Pessimism was issued independently in 2017. It was recorded at Monsters of Rot Festival in 2015.
ABADDON INCARNATE - DARK CRUSADE - XTREEM
Abaddon Incarnate is a blasting breath of (demonic) fresh air. Death metal fans will not want to miss this and for good reason. It is as if the act takes the speedy grindcore of Napalm Death and incorporates patterns from Brutal Truth, Cryptopsy and Deicide to produce its power-violence. The songs themselves are short and hence the album holds 16 of them. The sound is not perfect, but it is not bad either and, consequently, it is not an exaggeration to say that Xtreem has found another ace band. Abaddon Incarnate is a fully-formed winner with three albums to its name. - Ali "The Metallian"
