History & Biography
Absolute Power was the brainchild of vocalist and producer Simon Efemey and Napalm Death bass player Shane Embury as of 2006. While most of the myriad of bands the members were in were of the extreme metal variety, Absolute Power was designed to be standard heavy metal.
br /> A debut appeared in 2011. There were four members listed, namely Russ Russell, Mitch Harris, Paul Harrington and John Walker. Shane Embury and Mick Kenney operated FETO Records. Then the members went and became busy with their multiple day jobs. Fifteen years after the project's debut, Needs Must When The Devil Drives was the title for Absolute Power's 2026 album, which was released through Time To Kill Records on October 30th, 2026. The two main proponents remained and had recruited newer members.
