History & Biography
This HM band has been active since 2012 when it issued the Flames Of Justice album. Members were also in Fury UK, but the band was put on hold when guitarist Luke joined Iced Earth. The band proved itself industrious going forward. Absolva was issuing records on Fury UK’s label, Rocksector.

The 2013 DVD was called Beyond Live, but was merely live. Tom Atkinson was not on Anthems To The Dead any longer. Never A Good Day To Die added Luke Appleton, who is the brother of Chris, and Karl Schramm. Luke was playing bass for Iced Earth out of the USA, but that gig came to an end when Iced Earth’s Jon Schaffer played out his American conspiracy theories to participate in an attempted coup in the country and was arrested. The band toured independently, and as openers for MSG, in 2018. The Absolva line-up stabilised here, but Tom Atkinson would help the band out at concerts.

Live In Europe was released at the end of 2020. It was taped at various European concerts. The band was touring as openers for Blaze Bayley in Europe in 2024. It had done the same in 2019 and 2020. Justice was the 2025 release. Karl Schramm departed at this time. Luke Appleton switched to bass. The band was touring Europe throughout the summer and autumn including appearing at the Maid Of Stone Festival.

Former Iron Maiden singer Blaze Bayley has a recruiting office by the front door of Absolva’s rehearsal room. Joining Blaze at some point, sooner or later, was a condition of joining Absolva. As a matter of fact, Rocksector Records is run by Mark Appleton who is the father of Chris and Luke. He manages Absolva and Blaze Bayley.
