History & Biography
Death metal band Abyssus became the solo entity of Kostas Analytis in 2011. In the ensuing years a demo, called Monarch To The Kingdom Of The Dead, and several split releases followed. The band's first album arrived for Halloween of 2015. Into the Abyss was issued through Memento Mori. The group consisted of singer Kostas Analytis, guitarist Panos Gkourmpaliotis (ex-Abyssgale) and bassist Costas Ragiadakos. The guest drummer was named Nikos. A regular diet of demos and split releases followed until it was time for 2022's Death Revival. In the interim, Analytis had picked up and dropped the bass. Chris Liakos was the second guitarist. Jan Westermann was on drums now. Under Siege was a 2023 EP. The band opened for Tankard and Christos Liakos (which featured then band bassist Christos Liakos) and was booked for the Athens Extreme Festival in 2023.

Greece-based death metal group Abyssus signed with Fireflash Records and uploaded a song called The Meaning Of Pain as of July 31st, 2026. A record called The Reign was available on 23.10.2026. The act was reduced to a duo of singer Konstantinos Analytis and guitarist Panagiotis Gkourmpaliotis. There was a video for the song Destined To Die.
