History & Biography
Act Of Defiance was a new 2015 project featuring former Megadeth members Shawn Drover (drums) and Chris Broderick (guitar), as well as former Scar The Martyr singer Henry Derek Bonner and Shadows Fall's bassist Matt Bachand. The group signed a deal with Metal Blade and was recording a power/thrash album with producer Chris Harris.

Act Of Defiance would kick off its spring and summer tour with its appearance at the Philippines at Pulp Summer Slam, a festival featuring Lacuna Coil, Protest The Hero, Veil Of Maya and many more. Act Of Defiance was touring in support of the album, Birth And The Burial. The band was on the road in autumn of 2016 headlining shows across the USA. Additionally, the band appeared with Killswitch Engage and Hellyeah on several dates. Act Of Defiance would release its next album, Old Scars, New Wounds, on September 29 through Metal Blade Records. Overkill, Death Angel and Act Of Defiance were using Wings Over The USA monicker for a USA tour in May 2019. Reflections Doubt was the name of a demo by Qaalm, which was a new “atmospheric doom metal band” by Act Of Defiance singer Henry Derek Elis.

Chris Broderick joined In Flames in 2019 and that was the end.
