History & Biography A black/death metal band from Germany since 2009, Aegror was first heard through the De Morbis demo of 2010. Members had come from the black metal band Nebelsturm. Guitarist Sethonas and bassist Kjartanas departed. Guitarist and vocalist Narthaas switched to vocals only. Malevolence Records released the band's Forgotten Tales... EP in 2013. It was four years later when the band's debut full-length album was released. It was after the release of Dead Man's Diary that the members discussed putting an end to the project. An even bigger break ensued and Reign Of Disease was released in the spring of 2025. It continued the band's story arc around Plaguebreeder, who establishes dominion over humanity by infiltrating and corrupting the world’s most essential institutions and societal functions. The band signed with Extreme Management Group (EMG) in 2026.
The name Aegror is derived from the Latin word for 'disease'.
