History & Biography
The black metal band was formed in 2010. The band issued a demo, called Oracle Of Infinite Despair, in 2011. The band soon issued its debut through I, Voidhanger Records. The band subsequently signed with Debemur Morti Productions. The first Aevangelist album to be fully released over in the United States was through 20 Buck Spin in 2015 and called Enthrall To The Void Of Bliss. Live At California Deathfest was a 2015 demo. The 2018 demo, Heralds Of Nightmare Descending, was followed by an album in the same year, but the band was put on ice. Ascaris posted a conversation online about an unwanted sexual advance against Matron Thorn of attempted rape. Matron Thorn reported continuing without Ascaris who, in turn, claimed that there is no band without her. Matron Thorn recruited :ex-Anorexia Nervosa Stéphane Gerbaud as the new singer and became a new version of Ævangelist. Matron also founded his own imprint Esoteric Tradition and became one of those serial project creators.

The band members were simultaneously involved in two-dozen other projects. To ensure non-metal credentials Ascaris also played saxophone. The group often used live musicians.
