Reviews

AFFIANCE - THE CAMPAIGN - BULLET TOOTH
Clearly this US band's style is not my first or second choice when listening to music, but all the same Affiance has something there which speaks of quality. This poppish metalcore sound is well produced, well balanced and nicely composed.
The band has strong songs like opener Kings Of Deceit and Righteous Kill where the music rambles more heavy than the smooth and commercial vocals of Dennis Tvrdik. To be sure, the clean sound makes the band more within reach than otherwise because the guitarist and the drumming do go heavy sometimes. Peace Of Mind is the band's heavy moment. The drums really work out on this one. Threshold is peculiar for its constantly repetitious rhythm. This could be Blink something or Maroon something else were it not for the musicians behind the band taking things further than the average limp core act out there, but frankly one couldn't take away from the compositions value here. - Anna Tergel
