History & Biography
Greece-born Kyriakos Tsilios and Steve Sacco were schoolmates where the latter was trying unsuccessfully to teach Tsiolis how to play guitar. John Lovette started out on bass before switching to guitar. Not to be confused with the many other Aftermaths from places like Texas or Australia, this Mid-western thrash metal band was formed in October 1985 and recorded the heralded Killing The Future demo in 1987. A first demo in 1986 had a crossover sound, which the band would abandon in favour of thrash metal. A Metal Forces magazine sampler appearance was followed by the Words That Echo Fear demo. Selling a total of 3,000 demos, the band was signed by Big Chief Records (with a Warner distribution) and entered the studio to record its debut. With Big Chief declaring bankruptcy during the recording session, the band formed its own Zoid Recordings and released its sole record two years after its original release date.

The album was again released by Lotus Productions of Greece. The band opened for the likes of Carcass, Trouble and Pitchshifter before splitting. All the band members went on to form a techno band called Mother God Moviestar which signed to Interscope.

In 2015, Commemorating its 30th anniversary, the group was reissuing Eyes Of Tomorrow through Shadow Kingdom Records. This version was remastered by Paul Logus (Pantera, etc.) and comes with an expanded insert. The band also played the Headbangers Open Air. The band had a demo called There Is Something Wrong in 2019. It was a concept record regarding the contemporary world. The gang recorded a video for its cover version of John Lennon’s Give Peace A Chance. Chicago, USA-based Aftermath had a demo called No Time To Waste in 2022. The band was giving away several copies of the original pressing of the Eyes Of Tomorrow for its 30th anniversary in 2024.

The band had lost a lawsuit for its monicker to Dr Dre.
