History & Biography Akroasis is a Greek word meaning audition and an album by Obscura from 2016. Subsequently, the Switzerland-based thrash metal band was also founded by Marcel Knupp and Gerhard Baeriswyl in 2016. Another band by the same name was in Portugal. The focus was on Greek mythology as noticed from not only the monicker, but the album titles. The band had a 2021 demo, which as usual a label would reissue. This one was courtesy of Doc Gator Records and in the same year. Robin Hermanek left in that year.
Akroasis had an album called Hubris through Doc Gator Records in 20224. The deathrash act had a video for the song Insult The Gods. Bassist Hänsù broke his leg and played a gig sitting down. The group played a gig with openers Distant Past and Prancing Rhinos.
