History & Biography German band Alpha Tiger signed a deal with Century Media Records in late summer of 2012. The band's album, Beneath The Surface, was to be released in January, 2013. The band was touring with W.A.S.P. in the autumn of 2012 and had played Keep It True the year before. The band had changed its name from Satin Black (founded in 2007) in the winter of 2011. The band switched to Century Media for Beneath The Surface. The 2014 EP Lady Liberty was on High Roller. iDentity was on SPV. The Alpha Tiger album introduced singer Benjamin Jaino whose first introduction was on the act's tour with Battle Beast. The band bit the dust in 2018 shortly after playing at Bang Your Head. Stephan Dietrich had left in 2015.
The band gave a farewell concert in Dresden, Germany on 17.11.2018. The band performed a set of track arranged chronologically. Former members, including from Satin Black, joined the gig.
The band often covered science fiction, conspiracy theory and politics as topics.
