History & Biography The Bordeaux-based thrash metal band was formed in February 2012 although Hed and Rudy had been jamming since 2009. Altered Shade was a death/thrash metal band from France, which signed a deal with Wormholedeath in 2016 for the worldwide release of its album The Path Of Souls. The band had a video for the song The Dark Gift of Life off The Path Of Souls album, which was out on March the 17th through Wormholedeath/Aural Music. France-based death metal band picked up new singer Dräk Wyvern (formerly Apokalyptic Sky) in early 2018. The band’s former singer Edwin left the band for personal reasons. The band’s debut album The Path Of Souls was recorded and mixed by Johnathan Mazzeo and mastered by Chris Donaldson at the Grid Studio in Montreal, Canada.
Edwin left and a new singer, Dräk Wyvern (formerly Apokalyptic Sky), was announced at the beginning of 2018. The band was playing sporadic concerts throughout 2021, 2022 and 2023.
