History & Biography
Judging by the name and lyrics of A New Hope this punk/metal band had a whole lot of positive and negative energy to bestow. Songs were about individual ability, positive thinking and people power, as well as giving up. The album's name and its label were Star Wars references.

Formed in 1987 and playing covers, the band was from Florida and had a buzz in the underground during its existence thanks to extensive underground promotion. Singer and guitarist Dan Fontana, original bassist Barry Alpert and original drummer George Kokkoris were school-mates. They were joined by underground metal fan Shawn Rogers on the mike before being fired. Fontana took his place. The monicker was inspired by a garbled and unintelligible line from the movie Predator. The band often played around Florida and wasn't always serious. Subsequently, the band was a favourite at Florida's annual Slammie awards. The band was in negotiations with a few major labels, but nothing would be consummated. Guitarist and bassist Jeordie White joined Marilyn Manson and Nine Inch Nails and adopted the dope Twiggy Ramirez alias. Keyboardist Steinhart also managed the band before becoming a musical member. The end was 1996.
