History & Biography
The Helsinki-based band came together in 2006. The group had its background in Withered where singer Pekka and guitarist Tomi played. The band recorded and released a demo, called Wounded Faith, in 2008. Tuomas Nieminen was the singer. Finland’s Inverse Records signed the band and issued the debut album in 2011. Pekka Montin was on vocals.

Rockshots Records signed Amoth for the release of The Hour Of The Wolf album for January 28th. The new album featured Pekka Montin of Ensiferum as the lead vocalist again and for the first time, there are also keyboards on an Amoth recording. Also for the first time, the album had a Metallian Towers’ serf on its cover being attacked. New members as of 2022 were singer Tommi Niemi, Brazilian guitarist Fabio De Oliveira and Ilkka Lehtonen (drums as of 2023). 2024 was a wash and the band was booked for RockNeck in Jyväskylä in 2025.
