History & Biography The band based out of northern Sweden reports a history involving three school-mates dating back to 2007, but the first release was a 2014 demo called Atonement Is Nigh. Immediately, flaky members came, flaky members left and a flaky band started changing its line-up like it was a new morning requiring new underwear. In fact, the replacement members also all left. Drummer Christian Berglönn switched to vocals.
The atmospheric band (with synthesiser, which correctly called itself influenced by electronica, progressive rock, etc.) next issued a demo called Illuminate The Path in 2016. The group played live with concert musicians. Willotip Records signed the band and out came an album called Woe in 2022. Per the band, the album was written as one 60-minute song, which had been divided into 7 tracks. Session drums were performed by a Leith Ajob. The group was booked at ProgPower Europe for 2023 and Karmøygeddon Metal Festival in 2024. The year 2024 began with a couple of gigs with Iotunn. Sweden-based atmospheric band An Abstract Illusion had a video and single, entitled No Dreams Beyond Empty Horizons, released through Willowtip Records. It came in advance of the second album, The Sleeping City. Isak Nilsson was on drums. The label also re-pressed Illuminate The Path.
The band has called itself "Atmospheric hymns from the tundra." The group incorporates shoegaze. Yes, Opeth has been mentioned.
