History & Biography Formed in 1998, Sao Paulo thrashers Andralls issued an independent
album
called Massacre, Corruption, Destruction... in 2000 which was recorded
at Quorum Studio. The band featured Gustavo Pinheiro on drums at this
point. Brito was added in the summer of 2000. He had previously played
with Eddie and Alex in another band. The band toured around Brazil and
even supported Judas Priest. The band was signed by Marquee Records.
Inner Trauma and Force Against Mind were licensed by Mausoleum Records
for the rest of the world since the two labels had already worked
together on a release by Nordheim.
Reviews ANDRALLS - INNER TRAUMA - MARQUEE/MAUSOLEUM
Andralls is a thrash metal band with fast songs that suffer from a lack of identity. The Brazilian quartet keeps up its end of the thrashing bargain, yet one cannot shake loose the feeling that the songs are a play-by-the-number take on Razor, Slayer and Dark Angel. The workman-like playing is surprisingly tight and confident, but for the band to break out of Brazil it has to try its hand at rendering its song some semblance of character. The problem is that Sepultura executed music of this magnitude more than ten years ago and did it better. It is incumbent on the bands which follow to improve or, at least, equal the work released by its predecessors. This is not powerless. It is average. The European release has the added bonus of two extra songs. - Anna Tergel
