History & Biography
Antropomorphia is a death metal band from Tilburg, Noord Brabant, Netherlands that was founded as Dethroned Empire in 1989. Infernäl Mäjesty was an obvious influence. The band split up in 1999 with a full-length demo called Pure (and other demos called Bowel Mutilation, Necromantic Love Songs and I Have My Way!) in its discography. The releases had left a legacy of sexiness and sights of nature behind.

Regrouping in 2009, the band had someone called The Crypt compile its demos into a release. The act was live at Neurotic Deathfest in 2011 (and 2013 and 2014). The act recorded Evangelivm Nekromantia for Metal Blade for a 2012 release. This one yielded a couple of videos and continued the tradition of depicting nature and natural acts on its cover. Jos Van Den Brand was on the second record. The boys were invited to Brutal Assault in 2015. The third record insisted on the kvlt spelling again. An appearance at Eindhoven 2021 was cancelled for health and safety reasons. The act had appeared at the event in 2017.

The Netherlands-based Antropomorphia had an album, entitled Devoid Of Light, which was out through Testimony Records on May 16, 2025. There was a video for the song Unending Hunt. Co-founder and original guitarist Vincent Van Boxtel died of cancer in October of 2025. He had been in the band between 1989 and 1999.
