History & Biography
The funeral doom band was founded by Roberto M and Riccardo V in late 2012. First Funeral was the 2013 demo. Of course, a couple of recyclers quickly sprung into action and rereleased it lest a demo remains a demo. Purity and affinity were not considerations here. The act paraded a keyboardist and cello player. The band first climbed the stage opening for Esoteric in London in November of 2013. The debut full-length When Death Comes was issued for Halloween of 2014. On The Great Hatred the band was Riccardo Veronese and Juan Escobar C. The release schedule escalated from here. The All Consuming Void was a 2021 demo. Kostas Panagiotou was back on keyboards for the 2022 album. When Death Comes Again was a 2023 demo. Riccardo V was the sole member next. UK-based funeral doom act Aphonic Threnody had an independent full-length, entitled Grace My Heart, on August 7th 2026.
