History & Biography Geneva, Switzerland-based thrash metal band Apocalypse was founded in 1984 and disbanded in 1994 after releasing two albums. First, however, there were demos in 1984 and 1985. The debut album was issued by the band's Crash Records before being repressed by Music For Nations/Under One Flag much later. The band had hired Flemming Rasmussen, who had worked with Metallica, to mix the record. Apocalypse was featured playing live on Swiss TV in 1989. The group opened a concert for King Diamond and Running Wild in 1990. The second album introduced singer Nic Maeder. He would go on to front Gotthard. Faithless was produced by Harris Johns who had worked with Kreator and Sodom.
