History & Biography Apotheosis is the project of Sauron. He released a computer-recorded
demo entitled Shadows Eve in 1995 and an industry-only tape in
1997.
Apotheosis, was considered the third biggest metal act in Malta after Beheaded and Forsaken, signed to Nocturnal Art Production in 1998 for two albums. Sauron only entered the studio in 2002 however! In response to a list characterizing the act as being Nazi based on Apotheosis posting "Black Metal Matters. Black Lives Don't" on its Facebook page, Apotheosis further commented "corporate backed bands are all officially affiliated with violent terrorist groups such as antifa and blm. I really hope they fuck around so they can find out." Antifa referred to anti-fascist groups and blm referred to Black Lives Matter. Sauron did not specify how these movements were terrorists. This made the act more a social media poster than a musical entity given how the act's last music had emerged a quarter of a century prior.
