History & Biography The Warsaw-based band was formed in 2015, uploaded a couple of songs and had a 2017 demo called The Day We Left Earth. The origin of the act went back to the formation of the thrash metal band Legacy in 2013 however. Singer Blash Raven had joined in 2016. Bassist Slav Steeler and guitarists Michael Hexx and Stan Glacier left. The astronomical theme continued with 2019's Saviors Of The Universe demo. The band called itself "Intergalactic heavy metal from Warsaw." The act appeared at Trveheim Festival.
The heavy metal band issued its debut album courtesy of Poland's own Ossuary Records. Pandemic opened for Aquilla in 2022. The song Intersection was previously issued as Crystal Coven, etc.. The band began a concept and tale around the planet Evadera, where the last of the human race had settled. Aquila was booked for Wacken Open Air in 2024. Poland-based heavy metal group Aquilla signed with High Roller Records in 2025 and released an album, called Sentinels Of New Dawn, later that year. Jaspar De Phaser and Captain Paradox were new. At this juncture, Pete Slammer was the sole original member left. There was a gig where the band was opening for Quo Vadis to close 2025. Sacred Reich, Angelus Apatrida, Sarcator, Aquilla and Velozza were touring Europe in the summer of 2026.
'Aquila' is a star constellation, a name that matches the band's space-related themes.
