History & Biography Originally formed in 1989, the band was inactive for thirty years until reforming in 2019. The band had begun as a heavy rock act before becoming heavier and faster. Three guys had a school band called Danger Zone. Aslak also sang at this juncture. Mika was recruited on bass and the act adopted Mika's suggested monicker of Arched Fire. The younger Janne was the last to join the teenage band. An Arched Fire demo was issued in 1990 before Mika was fired due to a lack of rehearsing. The band would split up in the summer of 1990 even though it had recruited a bass player called Jani for a short while.
Remote Control was the 2021 return album. Trust Betrayal was released in 2023. Cliche-wise Tim Ripper Owens was a guest on the song Pestilence. Finland-based Arched Fire had a single called Northbound Train through Inverse Records in late 2024. It was a reworked old song. However the band stated, "Things are about to change. It may be that Northbound Train is the very last release with this Arched Fire line-up."
