History & Biography
The act was established by Mikkänen in 2020 and attacked the market immediately with zeal. The Swiss man would migrate to Finland soon and also jump from side-project to side-project. Demos had names like Dreams Of Far Lands (2020), Memoriam (also 2020), Live From The Studio: March 5, 2021 and Last Days Of Light (2021). Singers Tobias Gasser and Mischa Büttler came and went. There were several live singers in 2023.

The group issued its debut album, Kaamos, in May 2024. Most members were now Finnish. The band was at Bloodfest (with Aeonian, Tenebrae Aeternum and others) in Finland in 2024 and toured Europe. The new singer was Joni Hakulinen. 2025 began with Countless Skies. As The Sun Falls and Opia touring the UK. Switzerland-founded As The Sun Falls had an EP called Pohjoisen Sydän through Theogonia Records on May 23rd 2025. The group attended the Rock Metal Camp in France in 2025. As The Sun Falls cancelled its show at Summer Wrath IV and was replaced by Ensanguinate however. Jord, Shade Empire and As The Sun Falls announced the Torn Asunder Tour of Europe in September 2025.

The band had a music video for the song A Shimmer On The Tides in December of 2025. It was taken from the band's forthcoming Songs From The Veil album. It was scheduled through Theogonia Records for May 22, 2026. Lauri Unkila had left. Oskar Englund had left. Paul Rytkönen had left. The band's line-up was stable as Trump's genius, and just as loyal as his porn lust.
