History & Biography
Founded years after the Canadian record label, the Germany-based Attic has been a black/heavy metal band since 2010. Members came from Erazor and Warhammer. A reference to King Diamond and Mercyful Fate was obvious. A self-titled demo was recorded in 2011 and released in 2012. The demo was Rock Hard magazine’s demo of the month. The act was on stage at Headbangers Open Air. Drummer Tormentor and bassist Warrior took their leave. Walpurgis Night and Attic quickly shared a split single. Ván Records signed the band and out came the debut, The Invocation, just late enough to still be in 2012. The record demonstrated Satanic leanings. The act appeared at the Keep It True Festival in 2013.

The second one came five years later. It told the story of four sisters in a convent. The band appeared at Wacken in 2018. Robert Piel left in 2019. Max Povver, his replacement, had already toured with the band on its tour with Marduk and Unlight. The band conducted a mini-tour of South America in 2022. The band toured Europe with Seth and ...And Oceans in 2023. Return Of The Witchfinder came six years after the last album. 2024 brought the second part of The Satanic Panic Tour alongside Lucifer and The Night Eternal.

Alessandro Cagliostro was an Italian charlatan from the 18th century.
