History & Biography
Italy-based Avelion had an album called Illusion Of Transparency through Revalve Records to start 2017. By this time the band had seen as much line-up change as a cannibal dinner table. The band was described as progressive metal, but had a synthesizing playing member. The band was formed in 2008 and issued a demo called Cold Embrace in 2011. The promotional single Falling Down from 2012 was in collaboration with guitarist Olaf Thorsen (Labyrinth and Vision Divine). A 2013 demo was called Liquid Breathing. The band had toured central Europe and opened for the likes of Seventh Wonder. The band was the opening act in Angra’s European tour of early 2018 with Operation: Mindcrime and Halcyon Way. Countries included Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Spain and Portugal. Live At Campus Industry Music was a 2019 EP.

Progressive metal band Avelion uploaded a song called Bound To Blackness in mid-2022. It was the first song recorded with new vocalist Riccardo Rizzardelli. The band had parted ways with the singer William Verderi in late 2019. The progressive metal band had a video for the song Alone In Time in 2023. Avelion, with new vocalist Riccardo Rizzardelli, was working on a new album. In anticipation of a new album, the band began uploading songs between 2022 and 2025 and had a video for a song called Lost Within Daydream.
