History & Biography The band was founded in Aarhus in 2015 and issued two demos in 2016. One was self-titled. The other was called Marie Magdalene. The quintet was nominated for the Best Danish Upcoming Band and Best Danish Band at the High Voltage Rock Awards 2017. Century Media Records signed Denmark-based death metal band Baest in mid-2018. The label was issuing the band’s Danse Macabre album after witnessing the group perform at the Copenhell Freezes Over event. The band has a video for the song Ego Te Absolvo. The band was booked for the Rockstadt Fest in 2020, but the event was cancelled due to the pandemic. The band was booked for The Dortmund Deathfest, which was to take place in that city in Germany in August 2023. The band was booked for Næstved Metalfest in Denmark in August 2024. Baest was embarking on its Beast Against Beast European co-headline tour together with Benighted in the autumn of 2024. Opening was to be Coffin Feeder.
