History & Biography
In mid-2015, Season Of Mist signed Finland’s Baptism. The band would release its first full-length for the label on in 2016. The act was formed in Ylöjärvi in Southwestern Finland in 1998. A 1998 demo was called Satanic Rituals. The early drummer was named Demonium who would supposedly die soon. Warmoon Records distributed the Sons Of Ruin & Terror demo two years later. 2002 brought collaboration with Northern Heritage Records. The label would also put out a 2003 compilation called Primitive Finland for Annihilatus, Clandestine Blaze, Baptism, Bloodhammer, Incriminated and Blasphemous Evil. A couple of demos later and Morbid Wings Of Sathanas were issued. Lord Sargofagian was the sole remaining member. The Finnish black metal band signed with District 19 for exclusive bookings in Europe. The band’s 2016 album V: The Devil's Fire was recorded at Fantom Studio and the release date was the 22nd of July through Season of Mist. There was a lyric video for the song The Sacrament Of Blood And Ash. Antti Boman of Demilich was a guest on one track. The solo act became quiet and hiatus set in.
