History & Biography
The funeral doom band was founded in 2010 and released the Bell Witch demo in 2011. Cliche-wise a slew of imprints began repressing it. More importantly, Profound Lore picked the band up and released the Longing debut album in late 2012. The band had tuned the bass to also represent the guitar, which was missing from the record. The next one was called Four Phantoms, but the act remained a guitar-less duo. Adrian Guerra died in 2016 and the act kept going.

Mirror Reaper was a two-disc package with each disc featuring one track. Jesse Shreibman was the second member and had added keyboard to the delight of pop/rock fans. Stygian Bough: Volume I was a split with Aerial Ruin in 2020. Bell Witch, Spirit Possession and Possessive toured North America in 2023. The band also toured Europe in that year. Future's Shadow Part 1: The Clandestine Gate featured one lonely track. To promote another ‘collaboration’ release called Stygian Bough: Vol II, Bell Witch and folk rock act Aerial Ruin conducted the Stygian Bough European Tour in January and February of 2026. 40 Watt Sun was to open.

The Bell Witch is a mythical character from the folklore of Tennessee, USA in the 19th century and refers to a shapeshifting entity haunting the area. More recently, Mercyful Fate had an EP called The Bell Witch in 1994.

The band ran a Patreon to drum up funds.
