History & Biography Beneath The Massacre was formed in Montreal in the summer of 2004. The group featured guitarist Jonathan Dubeau and keyboardist Chris Pépi. They issued a five-track EP called Evidence Of Inequity through the local Galy Records. The group announced a Canadian tour supporting Neuraxis, but was forced to cancel soon following an accident near Thunder Bay, Ontario. In May 2006, Beneath The Massacre signed a record deal with Prosthetic Records, yet was soon on a tour with Leng Tch'e and Fuck The Facts. The group also played the Toronto Terrorfest with over 50 other bands. The Montrealers appeared on a compilation album called Canadian Metal In Japan, which was issued by Cyclone Records. The band's debut album, Mechanics Of Dysfunction, was again produced by Yannick St-Ammand and mixed by former Obliveon guitarist Pierre Rémillard. It was released in February of 2007 through Prosthetic Records. In late 2008, the group released its second full-length, entitled Dystopia.
Beneath The Massacre picked Marée Noire as the title for its EP, due on September 14th, 2010 through Prosthetic Records. Beneath The Massacre also released a new album, Incongruous, on February 14th through Prosthetic Records. The album was produced and mixed by Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy).
