History & Biography
The American band was a thrashy Motorhead with some hardcore tendencies. The Venice, California band supported the likes of DRI, Slayer and Suicidal Tendencies and was considered one of the act of the Venice Beach scene alongside Suicidal Tendencies and Excel. Beowulf can also be heard on a Suicidal compilation called Welcome To Venice. The act was active in the 1980s and early 1990s before the predictable reformation in 2000. Paul Yamada's death of drug use had ended the band in 1995. The reformed act issued an album called Westminster & 5th in 2007. Former Fear Factory member Christian Olde Wolbers took over the bass in 2011. Mike Jensen died from an heroin overdose on February 13, 2020. The band announced an album called The Blood Iz On Your Handz, but mainstay Dale Henderson fiedon May 13th, 2025. He was 59.
