History & Biography Black Breath heaved itself upon this mortal coil, via Seattle, in 2006 and issued a demo the same year. An EP called razor to Oblivion followed in 2008. The band next signed with the decidedly unnorthern label, Southern Lord.
The Seattle death metal band Black Breath had a new album called, Sentenced To Life, out through Southern Lord on March 27th, 2012. As with its debut full-length album Heavy Breathing, Black Breath recorded it at God City Studio with Kurt Ballou and had the finished product mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side. Seattle's Black Breath completed its third LP, Slaves Beyond Death, in the early summer and was preparing the album for worldwide release that September through Southern Lord Recordings. Additionally, the band was booked for the West Coast US alongside Goatsnake, Battalion Of Saints and Obliterations in September as part of a West Coast Southern Lord package tour. The band was also opening for Theories in 2016. Elijah Nelson died at the age of forty in December 2019. Black Breath was a 2024 vinyl box set.
