History & Biography Blackend was a south German thrash metal band. The band's known demo was Contrasts Of Minds from 1995 and the band could also be heard on a Metallica cover album called Phantom Lords. Loonatikk vs. Blackend was a 1999 split.Mario and Manuel are twins and both departed in 2001. Mario toured Germany with Loonatikk in the autumn of 2001 as a singer. Stephan “Chick” Wittenburg (ex-Progenic/Celestial Voyage) joined on guitar and Ananda Fallou Mbaye joined on bass. The act played at the Summer-Breeze Warm-Up Show in 2002.
