History & Biography
One of the earliest black metal bands in Asia, Blackfire was called Alter Ego for a year beginning 1981 before becoming Metal Ghost and then Blackfire in 1984. Subri was the early bassist. The band split up in 1988 yet re-appeared in 2006. Early guitarist Aidy Rafidzi had died.

The act played live while active, but only recorded in 2004 and 2005 to release a 2006 debut. The recording of The Hereafter Live stemmed from 1988.

Azmi Bahari died in 2019. The band played at Metal Camp in 2020. Black metal act Blackfire and grindcore group Compulsion To Kill had a split single through the latter band’s Repulsified Maggots Records imprint in 2022. A new record emerged in 2023. Lord Eekram was the singer since 2022. Darkness Conspiracy was a live record in 2024.
