History & Biography
The band was founded by Ben and Dan in late 2021. Several former colleagues were recruited into a reunion. Death metal quartet Black Lava released its debut full-length, entitled Soul Furnace, through Season Of Mist on 25.11.2022. A video for the song Eye Of The Moon was available. The story was of a man searching for a witch’s lair in harsh conditions. Tim Anderson left in 2023.

The band, Psycroptic and Obituary were to tour Australia in January 2024. The group released its sophomore full-length, The Savage Winds To Wisdom, through Season Of Mist on July 12, 2024. There was a video for the song Unsheathing Nightmares.
