History & Biography
The Tampere-based bluesy stoner and extreme band was formed in 2013. In 2015 and 2016 it issued demos respectively called The Summoning Pt. I and The Summoning Pt. 2. Finland's Black Royal, which was described as a mixture of death metal and ‘70s bluesy heavy rock, had a 2017 7" called Dying Star on Suicide Records. The album appeared on the same label. Earthbound's title track was a video in 2022. Petri Kantola left in 2023 and was replaced by Juuso (Grave With A View and Themata). A newer bassist was Dmitri 'Dimmu' Martinov in 2025. Black Royal was booked for Hervants Bestial Beerlust and had a show with Themata in 2026.
