History & Biography
Black Witchery was initially called Irreverent (which released two demos), but switched monickers to Witchery in 1996 (and again released two demos) and then to its present name in 1999. A year later the band and Canada's Conqueror shared an album before Black Witchery issued a full-length. The band signed to Osmose in 2002 with Upheaval Of Satanic Might being licensed to Red Stream for the US market. Live Desecration Ritual - December 2001 was issued in 2010. The band was part of the Brazilian Ritual Second Attack of 2014 live DVD. It was recorded in 2013. Vaz had begun drumming for Blasphemy in 2012. Tregenda left in 2013 and died of a car accident in 2016. His replacement Alal'Xhaasztur left in 2019 and died in 2024. Guitarist V.B. of Anhedonist and Weregoat joined in 2019.

Impurath was in Sanctus Mortem as of 2017. Unholy Vengeance Of War was a 2020 EP, albeit it was not new material. It contained songs from a 1999 split release called Hellstorm Of Evil Vengeance.

BLACK WITCHERY - UPHEAVAL OF SATANIC MIGHT - OSMOSE PRODUCTIONS/RED STREAM
This second full-length is twenty six minutes of the rawest of black metals. Upheaval Of Satanic Might is one of the increasingly rare 4-track sounding CDs, one where obviously no attempt is made to add anything to the purest of sounds. Perhaps surprising is the fact that Black Witchery hails from the USA. For followers of out-and-out black metal. - Anna Tergel
