History & Biography The black/death metal band went under another name for a year before becoming Bliss Of Flesh in 2001. Frozen Ashes Of Labdacides (Prelude To Bestial Annihilation) was a 2001 rehearsal. Lethal Ceremonies was the follow-up and a demo in 2004. A 2006 7", called Todtentanz, contained a cover version of a song by folk band Death In June. Singer Terrorizt (also Merrimack) left.
A couple of split releases led to a full-length called Emaciated Deity. This label was a joke and had as much distribution and promotion as the French National Rally members have good genes. The second album landed on Non Serviam. The Pandemic Architect was on second guitar and yet conspiracy theorists would blame a lab in China in 2020! The third album, called Empyrean, was on a third label. Hellfest booked the band - and every other band - in 2019. Tyrant arrived in late 2020. Each song title consisted of a single word. The Pandemic Architect/Pandemic was out being busy elsewhere Tyrant was based on the concept of 'Le discours de la servitude volontaire' (voluntary servitude thesis) written by French philosopher Etienne De La Boétie. It suggested that while servitude may often seem forced, it is often voluntarily accepted. The band was again at Tyrant Fest in 2022.
Bliss Of Flesh had a new album, Metempsychosis, through Black Lion Records on 17.10.2025. It followed 2020's Tyrant. The new record was supported through a video for the song The Awakening and another for If Only. The group was part of Gorgoroth's 33-Year Anniversary Tour 2025 Part II in Northern Europe with Carved Memories and Shemhamforash. The band was booked for shows called Metal Earth Fest in late 2025 and Douceur Noire in early 2026.
Deviant Surgeons was a death metal band for the first ten years of the century.
