History & Biography Blood Money was a Manchester, England-based speed and thrash metal band during the early days of
the English thrash explosion. The act's logo was drawn by guitarist Gramie Dee (Gramie Williams). Two members came from the HM act Wolfbane. The band was founded in 1984 (with drummer J. Colin Clarke) and lasted three years. The band had set up its rehearsal in central Manchester in a building called Beehive Mill, which serves as an office building today. A debut demo (featuring a song called Blood Money, which inspired the band's monicker) led to the second demo, Metalyzed. The debut album, which was recorded and mixed in two weeks, contained a track called N.Z.F.E.D.K., which stood for "Nazi zombie flesh eating devil killers," and was inspired by slasher films. Thanks to the typography, this album's title was occasionally confused as Red And Raw Bleeding. album was The band was given a BBC Radio 1 Friday Rock Show session with DJ Tommy Vance in 1987.
Foxx formed his namesake band, which later changed names to Bison and Sacrasanct. He then was in a coma for several days after a bad accident. Not giving up, he later formed China Beach and even auditioned for Iron Maiden in 1994. Foxx would later become a personal trainer. Morgueazm was a deathrash band. Heavy Forces Records rereleased the albums, on the 30th anniversary of the debut, in 2016 and went broke. Svart Records issued a compilation of the band's material, in tandem with vinyl rereleases, in 2023. It was called Complete Execution.
