History & Biography
Blood Red Angel was stylistically German thrash. Earlier, Vernissage was a power metal group. The band was founded in early 1999 and released a self-titled demo (with drummer Phillip Schmidt) in the same year. Beat point Studio, where the band recorded its debut, belonged to two of the band members. Drummer Adriano Ricci left in 2001. Guitarist Robert Balner followed. The band has been compared to Grip Inc. and Slayer and the debut was released on 13.07.2000. Abyssland was a 2008 demo, which was distributed by the ever useless Twilight Vertrieb, following which Blood Red Angel was no more. There was a billing at 2010's Dong Open Air however.
